A familiar file that works anywhere.

    How it works

    From shared link to MP4.
    Nothing mysterious.

    Three clear steps, handled automatically.

    1

    Paste your link

Copy the public URL from your Kommodo recording and paste it into the field above.

    2

    We prepare it

Your browser downloads the video pieces and shows exactly what is happening.

    3

    Save your MP4

When processing is complete, select Save MP4. The video never needs to be uploaded here.

    Designed for privacy

The heavy lifting stays with you.

The small resolver only finds the signed playlist on a public Kommodo share page. Your browser then requests the recording and prepares the MP4 locally whenever Kommodo allows browser access.

    Good to know

    Questions, answered.

    Which links can I use?

Public kommodo.ai/recordings/… links are supported. Private, deleted, or expired recordings may not be available.

    Does this work on mobile?

It works best in a current desktop browser. Long or high-resolution recordings can need substantial memory, which some mobile browsers limit.

    Is it really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, paywall, or usage fee. The project is available under the MIT license.

    Why might a recording fail?

The share link may be expired, the recording may be private, or the browser may block access to the video host. Try a fresh public share link in an up-to-date browser.
